Why Are We Here?

The American cloud companies have shifted ownership over your own data and platforms to proprietary, closed, expensive systems. We are bringing Europe’s data back to Europe — without sacrificing reliability, and improving scalability and decreasing the total cost of ownership. We believe that the benefits of using open software have been passed over in favour of the benefits the cloud claimed to bring (in varying degrees of success), and we want to instead hone in on the former. Our vision is one in which European organisations utilise free and open technologies to chart a path to a brighter economic future for us all.

Open software allows you to sculpt it to your own unique needs, increasing efficiency in both time and spending. You will not be paying for software you do not want nor need, nor will you be locked into using the software, should you want to change later on. You know exactly what you are getting, because the code is visible. On a similar note, if people can both see and contribute to the code, its security and rate of innovation are increased. With more people contributing, there is a larger pool of talent to pull from, and plenty of developers love trying out new or improved software (including us).

As for our own talent at Dolysis, we have 40+ years of experience in working with computers and utilising them to open up new horizons, or maintain consistent quality. In order to keep our own quality optimal, we adhere to a few values we feel are vital to both our success and yours.

So, you know who we are now, but how can we help you?

We offer two general options, but we do prefer to tailor our solutions to your unique needs so as to maximise efficiency on both our ends. The first option is OpenStack, which is a full-featured, private cloud solution with many options and add-ons. Please note that this needs a full tech team to manage and solid policies so as to prevent bloat. The second option is the Minimal Private Cloud, which uses just enough cloud components to meet your needs but not cause excess work. It is ideally suited to a mid-sized organisation with a small and highly technical team, and good automation. For both options, we will always take your needs into account and work with you to craft a unique solution suited to you.
